My take was a copy cat of the original sketch but I kinda flipped it a little. I used photos of my family on New Years Day at Westgrove. I tried my darndest to take good pics but bottom line it was fun time with the kids -- those memories are sure priceless hey?
Anyway going back,....I never doubted the girls would take my sketch to the next level... Hahah gave this Amateur sketcher some good points for trying bwhahhahahahha !
Allow me to share them with you, plus my little comments, all good though!.... and by the end of this post, kindly take me up on the challenge ok ladies?

Together and Let's celebrate layouts are 2 different layouts that Issa made for this sketch. What is ideal with these pictures are they are just every day pictures she has used. Love for family is the theme Issa evokes on these 2 layouts. I have to be partial to the first layout though, because I am lover of film strips and this really look so good. It reminded me of a magazine layout I once saw in a local woman mags. The lace flowers and lace she used accentuated the page without drowning the photographs. Let celebrate o the other other hand higlighted her cute little boy, the star of this own birthday party... Great JOB Issa, you really are a fab scrapper!
Michelle Sonza (http://scrapisticatedmichelle.blogspot.com/)
Title: Athena
Mich made this page as a gift to her co workers' daughter. I love that she tied in all the colors fo the photographs with all the elements she use on her page, her title, swirls, flower and papers.
The swift scrapper that she is, I love that she has no pressure in using new and old stash to utilize her hoarded materials. She is never afraid to just scrap and has no pressure issue when embellishing. Its a great page Michelle, good job girl ! I am sure who ever you gave this to was so happy with the fab page you made.
Khei De Dios (http://scrappykhei.blogspot.com/)
Title: Cherish the Moment
Love the multiple shots of the subject Khei had used on her digital layout. As a mamarazzi I love to take pictures like this and creating layouts to show some sorto sequence. The colors used for background are so sweet, just like this chubby little girl here Ellianna Cereese.
Dinah Maningat ( http://dmaningat.blogspot.com/
The moment I saw Dinah's layout, it already caught my eye bec of the blue hues she used on her layout. As a mother of 3 boys, blue has been a color I have learned to love. Whats really good about this layout again, is the sequence of shots Dinah shot of Jao as he tried to crawl on the bed to reach the target. I loved the mix of ribbon and doodling for the border of the tic tac toe square shape. Applause to Dinah for incorporating flowers on a page without it looking girly (flowers on boy pages is ok !). I say it again Dinah, you do fab layouts girl!
Helga Vergara (http://helgapayawal-vergara.blogspot.com/)
Title: Rubber Ducky
Helga's little Ike is sucha cutie and you see him here in action.. Love the colors on this fun layout and I loved how you group together to frame rubber ducky with buttons.
The embossed title adds pizzazz to your page. More little IKE's layouts !
Zabeth Gochuico (http://elizabethtangochuico.blogspot.com/)
Title: Manila ZOO
Love the colors Zabeth used on her Manila ZOO digital layout. Earth tones are certaily the way to go when documenting photographs such as this. Its great she even capture the animal description and included them on this layout.
Timi Mercado (http://scrapaholictimi.blogspot.com/)
Title : Reggae
This layout of Timi's exceptionally captured reggae colors, as modelled by her daughter in a reggae beanie. This is such a fun layout and all embellishment all tied in together for the title/theme, title, sewing, colors, string and buttons. Great job Timi!
Raissa Villanueva
Title: Summer'06
Raissa mentioned to me that she almost didnt send this layout because it was no match for my sample. I beg to differ because however simple this layout is-- the COLORs spell SUMMER to the max. THis layout is fun, fresh and fab in my books. I love the doodling and the 3d element on the page Again you don't need a dollar cruncher to achieve a fab layout!
Here is a simple layout by Susie of her son's milestones. Its great to see how he did progress from the crawling to walking. Susie shares with me that she has no access to scrapbook material in HK however, she did her best completing her layout with what she had on hand. Good Job dear!
Jona suprised me by using only one photo of her son and cut them in to 6 squares. Kudos to her for trying this photo technique and it really compliment her her layout so well. Simple layout with minimal embellishments but with lots of impact. Its a great layout Jona!
Alby Laran (http://scrap-my-life.blogspot.com/)
Materials: 1 cardstock (Bazzil), 1 sheet of rub-ons (Luxe Designs), 1 set of Vinyl Thickers (American Crafts), 1 Coke Cap (EK Success), 2 pens (Sakura Souffle and Staedler Triplus), zero sugar!
Anna Zalamea
I was touched Anna (know she is busy over in CA) took the challenge to do here version of my sketch. She even told me that it might be disqualified because it didnt follow the sketch to the T. However I assured her -- any version is permissible and I loved how she did her lift. It kept the tic toe shape on the page but with journalling, title and embellishment in the center. I think its very shabby chic and i reallylike this layout.
So ladies this is friendly challenge I have for all of you,... why don't you challenge 3 to 5 girls of your choice and see how they do their v.)ersions of your layouts. YOu can make your little challenges/RAKs but I reckon it doesnt matter if there is a lure of prize(that's totally up to you).. Imagine if 12 of you invite 5 people each thats 60 layouts already from when we began.
