its about time

Its about frigging time I break out from my yonks ago hiatus,... been creating and enjoying making layouts with no stress, no need to use new stuff and appreciative of rediscovering older stash than can still be today's look.

I even unearthed some of my so called 'old school scrapbooking' of cutting and piecing things together,.. loving foam too i tell you so American Crafts -- am giving you run for your money.

I really had so many revelations doing layouts the past month. I am happy where my creativity has taken me. And as for stamping, am a newbie surely and my stamps are so virgin its not funny! However, I learned to bring back the innovation back into scrapbooking, using whatever skills I have and not think of what I left in Manila. I should really make use of whats here, give it todays twist and who knows it might just be my best scrap pages yet. Anyway, best or not, my family truly loves what I do and they are my biggest supporters. And the nice comments they give me the best highs I tell you!

And yeah the backward mamarazi that I am finally getting a new camera courtesy of my generous bunso brother, Josef (who recently had a new baby with his wife, Sarah, they named her Miya Jaye). My Olympus will be parking with they YAPS by April....

So without further adieu, feast your eyes in my cutting masterpieces. (note I recently fell in love with FOAM, whether for accenting or even for captions and titles. I hope you like them)..

Title: Domestic Goddess

Materials used: BG pp & cs (Stella Ruby), Provocraft stickers, BLings, stickles, Cosmo Cricket Chipboard, Metal bookplate, Craft foam, Sizzix dies (Round a bout), Fiskars border punch, MMpaints,Diamond glaze, Fancy PantsRubons, DCWVbutterfly felt stickers

This photo was takent by Jeff Lopez and my background was a door in hall. Pity it wasnt edited by the expert himself -- i tried at making it B/w and it turned out so washed out. I thought why not do my own tweaking with it and create my own background, I cut to kingdom come from BG papers and added Fancy pants rubons and played with using Kindy glitz. Title: Boy oh Boy

Materials: Cherry Arte/ Ki Memories pps, Scenic Route Background apper, Doodlebug rubons, Artistic Expressions Tranparency tags, Assorted buttons. Foam used to lift stars and mount the 'look at me transparency.

Jerome my boy just loves to take challenges, never afraid to try anything -- built tough!

Title: Celebrating Life with you (a Christmas day photo with my hubby Patrick)

Materials use: Junkitz salsa celebrations papers, Deja Views Orange, green and light red pps, bubble wrap (stamped w/ MM paint) tag for title YOU, blings, foam for title (coated with diamond glaze), Tech. tuesday corner stamp, Kindy glitz.

I paper rolled the pink and green papers to disguise bad background and just loved the results (one of the Scrappin Moms share this technique with us). A hidden tag to reveal journalling and flower highlighted with MM page pebbles (remember those?). I kinda went crazy with this paper, such color and happiness it evoked. With our photo being landscape, I cut our photo to elevate us a little and put foam at the back, to make us look a little 3d and not disapper in the page. Patrick loved this layout (so thats a great big pat in the back hahahhhahah!). The circle patterns were cut and I just pieced them together to frame the photo.

Title: Say Cheese

Materials: Scenic Route Samplers/pp, Bazzil Cs, American Craft sticker letters, caption Stickers, Kindy glitz, craft foam, Craft express gel stickers, Titles are Cuttlebug font mounted w/ pp and painted with diamond glaze.

I enjoyed being able to create my very own 3d diecuts and give it an embossed look using Diamond glaze. I love these photos of Jerome because the captions I have placed here is what he says each time we take photos. He loves being photographed!
Title:Lil' Princess

Materials used: Provocraft pps, craft foam for title and crown, K & co caption rubons, Kindly glitz

I enjoyed making this layout for sis Jovy, hubby John and their daughter Joanna. The crown was pattern from a chipboard but I sculpted and bling'd it myself coated with diamond glaze.

Title: 10 reasons why you love me

Materials used: BG Scraps and left overs, DIVI ribbons, American craft rubonsr/letters, 7 gypsies top ten lists, bling, DCWC stickers, bling, letter stickers.

THis was taken by Jeff Lopez, and like it was after my son's party, were tired and still we posed for our shots. Pat was suprisingly into it - even posing like silly!

I am sleepy will post more tommorow and the next few days,... been a busy little bee.

DT work next, more fun fun fun and no creative block no more, mojo's back and creating just the way I like it !

Joanne! I love your layouts! My jaw dropped at the first one. Love the painted effect at the background. And your layouts look so "IN". It does not matter if you used your old stash. Actually I consider that an added accomplishment. I'm working on our Disney album and mixing old pps with new ones. It feels great to use your supplies. Looking forward to more!
